South Salt Lake is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States and is portion of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 23,617 at the 2010 census.

Jesse Fox Jr. developed the Place South Salt Lake referred to as Central Park in this area 1890. Mr. Fox chose the broadcast after visiting New York and seeing Central Park there.
