Ohio is a midwestern U.S. state stretching from the Ohio River and Appalachian Mountains in the south to Lake Erie in the north. On the shores of the lake is the city of Cleveland, site of the Cleveland Museum of Art and its renowned collection of European paintings and especially Asian art. Cleveland is also home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and close to expansive Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Ohio. The State of Ohio reported 300.3 violent crimes and 2,577.5 property crimes per 100,000 inhabitants for 2016. Ohio’s violent crime rate is 18.9 percent lower than the national median, and the property crime rate is 0.2 percent lower. Ohio has a similar proportional makeup of crimes by type to the national median.

Crime Rates In Ohio

Crime rates in Ohio have always been lower than the rest of the country. But the number of people in prison has increased dramatically over the past 40 years. This is partly due to the fact that more people are being sentenced to jail. Moreover, mandatory minimum sentences and harsh punishments make it harder to get probation.

The state of Ohio is also facing numerous challenges, namely, an opioid crisis, economic decay and drug abuse. Although crime in Ohio is generally low, it’s still important for residents to remain vigilant. Fortunately, there are many cities in the state that provide a sense of safety and peace of mind. Some of these cities have been nicknamed “dangerous places to live” in the past.

Cleveland, Ohio is home to the state’s highest crime rate. This city’s rate of violent crimes is five times higher than the statewide average. It is also one of the most dangerous cities in the United States, ranking in the top ten for murder. In addition to being the most dangerous city in the state, it has the highest unemployment rate and is one of the worst areas for drug trade.

Columbus, Ohio is a major Midwestern metropolis. The city is home to an arts scene and a vibrant culture. Despite its crime rate, it has a strong economy and is a popular destination for visitors. The city is also known for its low cost of living, which has helped it earn its reputation as one of the safest states in the country.

Other great cities in Ohio include Avon Lake, Chillicothe and Lima. These cities are relatively safe, especially compared to the other larger cities in the state. However, all three cities have problems with crime and drug trade. So, it’s wise to be aware of the potential risks before you travel.

Among the many perks that come with living in an Ohio township are a strong educational system and a high home value. In addition to excellent schools, the township is home to numerous retail and restaurant establishments.

Dayton is the sixth largest city in Ohio. The city has a population of over 140,000. According to FBI crime statistics, Dayton has the second highest murder rate in the state. Also, the city has a very high rate of property crimes. While this statistic doesn’t appear to be too alarming, it should be noted that the FBI has not yet released its crime data for the year 2020. Nevertheless, if the statewide numbers are any indication, then the crime rate in Dayton is likely to be quite high.

Moraine is the county seat of Lorain County and is located west of Cleveland. Although the crime rate is lower in the county than in the city, it is still a relatively high number. The area is home to an abundance of waterways and parks. If you’re interested in visiting the area, consider taking a ride on an Uber.
