Asheboro is a city in and the county seat of Randolph County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 25,012 at the 2010 census. It is allowance of the Greensboro–High Point metropolitan Place of the Piedmont Triad and is house of the state-owned North Carolina Zoo.

Asheboro was named after Samuel Ashe, the ninth official of North Carolina (1795–1798), and became the county seat of Randolph County in 1796.
