ADT Security In Missouri & Crime Rates

Crime rates in Missouri vary widely from city to city, but the state overall has seen a significant decrease in violent and property crimes over the last five years. The state is ranked 44th in violent crime and 38th in property crime, both of which show steady declines since 2011.

There are many factors that affect the nature of crime. Some of them include the population, the economic climate, and the age groups. While the state’s rate of unemployment is below the national average, there are still many Missouri residents who live below the poverty line.

Despite its statewide high crime rates, the state has many places to choose from when searching for a safe place to live. Cities such as Kansas City and St. Louis, the two largest cities in the state, are among the best places to live. They are vibrant communities for families and young professionals.

Although the property crime rate in Missouri is below the national average, it is not considered as safe as some other states. This is because the state is relatively less urbanized than the country at large. It also has a larger percentage of people who live below the poverty line. In fact, Missouri has the highest crime rates in the West North Central region for three years in a row.

Property crimes in Missouri have been on the decline over the past five years, but the homicide rate has increased over the past five years. Missouri accounted for 11.8 homicides per 100,000 people in 2020, which was more than any other state. And while the homicide rate is not the highest in the nation, the homicide rate in Missouri followed a rising trend throughout the country.

In addition, a majority of Missourians worry about gun violence, package theft, and safety. In addition, a large number of Missourians are using home security systems. Home security systems are often the first line of defense for keeping a family safe from crime.

Overall, the crime rates in Missouri have been declining, but some areas remain very dangerous. For example, in 2019, the city of Eureka had a violent crime rate of just one offense per 1,000. A number of Missouri cities rank highly on the Safety Index, which combines FBI crime data with employment figures for law enforcement.

The livability score for the state is highly influenced by local culture, healthcare programs, and infrastructure. But the housing costs in the “Cave State” are not as low as the state’s average. Compared to other states, the state’s rate of unemployment is also below the national average.

During the Special Session of the General Assembly in January, 16 bills related to gun violence were introduced. Many Democrats support these gun-related measures, including the creation of a task force to combat violent crime in the St. Louis area. Several other cities and towns in the state also scored highly on the safety index.

The list of the most dangerous cities in Missouri includes both the top five and the bottom. The five safest cities in the state have all had violent crime rates that are at least 20 percent lower than the statewide rate.
