Kiln (pronounced “Kill”) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. The town is located approximately 50 miles (80 km) northeast of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is portion of the Gulfport-Biloxi Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,238 at the 2010 census.

The outdated inhabitants of the Place were Choctaw and Muscogee Indians, who lived along the banks of a river (later named the Jourdan River) emptying into the Bay of Saint Louis. These tribes hunted, fished, and trapped upon the estate prior to deal by the French.
